BK8 News: What the Name on Racing Liveries Actually Refers To

By the bk8io.uk editorial team · Published 4 November 2026 · Last updated 4 November 2026 · 4 min read

BK8 News is the sports media arm of the BK8 brand: a news and entertainment website at bk8.news, and the name BK8 now uses for its biggest sponsorships. When you see "BK8 News" on a MotoGP Ducati, at a badminton final or on an Aston Martin Formula One car, it is this brand, not a newspaper and not the BK8.io casino itself.

Search for "BK8 news" and you get a mix of the bk8.news site, articles about BK8 sponsorships and a long tail of clone pages. This guide separates them so you know which one you are looking at.

Two meanings of "BK8 news"

What is on bk8.news

When we read the site on 4 November 2026 it described itself as "your gateway to global sports", with sections for football, badminton, basketball, MotoGP and Formula One. Football gets the most space. The pages carried no odds and no betting links, which is the main practical difference from BK8.io: one is a sports publication, the other a gambling platform.

That split matters for sponsorship. A media brand can appear in places where a gambling logo would face restrictions, which is a common approach across the industry. We have no statement from BK8 saying that this is the reason for the name, so we note it as context only.

Where the BK8 News name appears

MotoGP: BK8 Gresini Racing

Gresini Racing announced BK8 News as its title sponsor on 24 February 2025, renaming the team BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. The branding runs across the team's Ducati bikes, rider suits, garage and transporters. British fans saw it at the 2026 British Grand Prix at Silverstone, held from 7 to 9 August as round 12 of the season. In July 2026 the team confirmed it will keep the BK8 Gresini name for 2027 with a new rider pairing.

Badminton: the Thomas and Uber Cup Finals

The Badminton World Federation named BK8 News the presenting partner of the Thomas and Uber Cup Finals 2026 in Horsens, Denmark, announced on 22 April 2026. That sat alongside BK8's separate role as official betting partner of the BWF Major Championships through 2026.

On an F1 car since October 2026

The Silverstone-based Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team added BK8 News to its partner list on 1 October 2026, giving it the title of Global Partner. The team's announcement describes BK8 News as "a global sports news and entertainment platform" and places the branding on the rear-wing end plate of the AMR26, with marketing and fan-engagement work planned "throughout the 2027 Formula One season and beyond".

All three deals, with the older football partnerships, sit in order on our BK8 sponsorship timeline with the dates each one started and ended.

How BK8 News relates to BK8.io

Both carry the BK8 name and both belong to the same brand family. BK8.io is the crypto casino and sportsbook launched in August 2025, operated by Mettlemind Tech Ltd. under an Anjouan licence. BK8 News is the publishing and sponsorship name. The sponsorship announcements we read do not name the legal entity behind BK8 News, so we do not guess at one.

For British readers the difference is practical: you can read bk8.news from anywhere, but BK8.io does not accept players from the United Kingdom. Our explainer on BK8.io's UK restriction sets out what that means and why.
